7 Restaurants Not to be Missed when in Bir

Finger -licking good cheese pasta with jalapeños and basil! 😋
Sitting at the quaint little Garden Cafe in Bir with the farms in front and the blue mountains beyond.❤️❤️❤️
Do try the Garden Cafe if u r ever in Bir. The service is slow but what's the hurry anyway! Especially when u r in Bir. So give your order, plop down with a book and experience 'dolce far niente' - the sweetness of doing nothing.

2. Kuckie's Cafe

Special kuckie's parantha with secret stuffing! 😋 Kuckie's cafe is as sweet as it's name. It has only recently opened in Bir but has already become quite popular. Amazing organic food, great vibes and the most genial owner- Kuckie Aunty! It's right down the street from zostel. Serves only organic vegetarian food. Kuckie Aunty is fascinating and always happy to talk. Definitely visit if you're craving home-cooked food. 👍👍👍

P.S. Also check out Kuckie Aunty's own brand of locally grown organic honey - Himalayan Heritage. I think we bought about 10 bottles! I bought a lychee honey and it was so delicious, it didn't even last 10 days!

3. Avva's Cafe

Absolutely dreamy view from the backyard of Avva's cafe, Bir. 😍😍😍
It's worth going there just for this epic view! But on top of that, the food is great. You are welcomed with rasam and kadala chane as soon as you sit. And the owner aunty is just so warm and welcoming. She even chided us for not eating enough! 💞

Also, It was the middle of the day... but this view reminded me of bonfire... crisp autumn nights and starry skies. ❤️❤️❤️ Maybe it was the log seating.😂😂😂

4. Glider's Pizzeria

Hands down best pizza in Bir @ Glider's Pizzeria! You can't go wrong with Glider's. It has the best pizza in town with handmade organic secret sauce. The ambiance is as good as it can get - tucked against the mountains, right besides the farms with the Paragliders flying overhead.❤️❤️❤️ At night, one can sit in the garden chairs underneath the stars.🌜 .
And the owner of the place is a delight to talk to. (I hope your leg has healed Aunty)😊
Granted it's a bit of a splurge but it's worth it!

5. Silver Linings Cafe

Hands down, the best banoffee pie of my life!!! 💖💖💖
.
Do NOT miss this if u r ever in Bir. At Silver Linings Cafe. .
The most heavenly banana cream with a crunchy crust. Just the most perfect symphony of flavors. It's hard to describe but equally hard to forget! 😋😋😋
I'm gonna make it my first stop when I go to Bir again!

6. Vairagi Cafe

Sinful pleasures! This beauty caught my eye when we were having dinner in this cute little restaurant- Vairagi cafe, Bir. I knew at once that I had to have it!
There were only 6 of these chocolate pastries left and a large group of people came in. So we ordered this as our dessert even before our dinner, fearing it would be all sold out.

I was a bit apprehensive. I don't like almonds in my chocolate pastry. But just one bite and all the doubts dissipated! It was one of those foodgasm moments. A thick layer of mind-blowing delicious chocolate with a thin crust. This is what paradise must taste like. ❤️❤️❤️

We instantly ordered 2 more to go!

7. Zostel Cafe

Last but not the least, Zostel Bir has an awesome in-house Cafe which can give any other establishment a run for it's money. Whether it's italian, chinese or just simple indian food, you an get all and everything right down their dorms/rooms.What makes Zostel Cafe special is the plethora of games you can choose from. You can read the comics, play Jenga or just hang out with the amazing backpackers. The cafe is open to everyone and not just those who are staying at Zostel.
